Adding a Contract to your Campaign
A Contract (also known as an ‘Insertion Order’) represents the planned agreement for a campaign’s budget, fees and flight dates, mutually agreed to and signed by all parties involved (Advertiser, Agency and/or Trading Desk).
Adding a Contact to your Campaign is a mandatory first step for Bench-run activity that enables both budgets and flight dates to be allocated to media activity.
To view your Contracts, open your Campaign and under the ‘More’ menu, click ‘Contracts’. From the Contracts page, click ‘Create IO’.
To create your first Contract, from the Contracts page, click ‘Create IO’ and fill in the required details:
Contract Name: a reference name for the contract. This string can be downloaded in future reports.
Contract Value: the total value of the signed contract for this campaign. Both Tax and a Management Fee can be added as inclusive or exclusive of this value using the checkboxes to the right.
Tax: the tax rate (%) that is relevant to this contract. This is an optional value that impacts the final billable amount of the contract. The tax rate can be left as 0% if tax is going to be handled through other reporting processes.
Management Fee: the percentage rate of this contract’s value that is going to the cost of managing the campaign. Optional to be inclusive of the contract value or top of the contract value (exclusive of total contract value). If fees are to be applied elsewhere, the Management Fee field should be set to ‘No Management Fee.’
Once these values are filled in, you’ll see a view of the following figures. Please confirm these are aligned to the contract agreement before proceeding:
Client Budget: the total budget that is available to be allocated and spent on media channel activity.
Total Billable: Media Budget plus tax and management fee values.
Start Date: the date this contract should start. Flight dates for a media allocation will become available based on this setting.
End Date: the date this contract should end. Flight dates for a media allocation won’t be able to be set past this date.
Click ‘Create’ to finish creating your first contract.
