




Creative Sync to Meta (1)
Follow these steps to prepare your ads for Meta execution:
Access to Meta Ad Account and Facebook Page
a. Add the ‘Bench Connect API New’ user to the Meta Ad Account as Ad Account Advertiser.
b. Add the ‘Bench Connect API New’ user to the Meta Page as Page Advertiser.

Sync Advertiser in Bench with Ad Account in Meta
a. Get the ID of the Meta ad account from Meta Ads Manager.
b. Go to the Advertiser in Bench and enter this ID in the Ad Account ID (Meta) field.
c. Save the Advertiser.
d. Check if the Advertiser shows "Synchronised."
Setup the Facebook Page
a. Add the Facebook page to the Advertiser in the Facebook Page field.
b. Save the Advertiser.
c. Go to the campaign and More > Settings, select the Facebook Page from the drop-down.
d. Save the Campaign.

Sync the Ad
a. Go to the Ads section of your campaign.
b. Click on the sync icon to open the Execution (sync) popup.
c. Click on the sync button to sync the ad to Meta.
i. If the ad is selected in more than one Meta allocation, you will see one option for each allocation.
ii. Select the one you would like to sync to.
d. Once the ad has synced successfully,
i. the sync status in the popup turns green.
ii. the sync icon turns green.
e. If there were any errors during the sync process,
i. the sync status in the popup turns red.
ii. the sync icon turns red and says 'Error.'
iii. Clicking on the Error button shows the error message.
iv. Check the troubleshooting section to see how to resolve an issue based on the error message shown.

Troubleshooting
Issue | Possible Solutions |
---|---|
Sync button not shown on ad | Please check that all steps have been followed from the instructions above. In most cases, this happens when the ad isn't approved or the ads aren't in the Meta allocation. |
Ads created in Meta have different image | Check if the ad created in Meta is using a Post ID, if yes, it means that the ad in Bench was cloned from another ad and the option to 'Preserve Post ID' was selected. In this case, Bench will re-use the post created from the original ad when you sync the newly cloned ads, even if they use different content. |
Error: You don't have required permission to access this profile | Make sure the Bench Connect System User in Meta Ads Manager has access to the Ad Account and Facebook Page with the correct permissions. Please see Step 1 of instructions |
Error: Campaign end date must be in the future | Check if current month has non-zero budget. Add a $1 budget to current month and check if that resolves the issue. Check if IO end date is in the future. If it is, then check what end dates show on campaign card. If the end dates don't match with budget manager, contact your Platform Representative to fix this for you. |
Error: Unable to use the video in an ad creative. Video id 565655773889355 might not be id of a video, or you might not have permission to see it. | The uploaded video is not yet processed for execution. Please try to re-sync ad after a few minutes. |
Error: Status Code 502 Error - Bad Gateway Error: Status Code 404 - 404 page not found Error: Error validating access token | Contact your Platform Representative as there might be an issue with the Execution Service that connects to Meta. |
Error: You're using Instagram as a placement. Please select an Instagram account to represent your business. | Remove Instagram as a placement in the Meta campaign and the execution (Dummy) ad set. |
Error: Each ad set can contain a maximum of 50 ads. Please delete one of your existing ads if you want to create a new ad. | Delete older ads from the DUMMY ad set that you have duplicated to their actual ad sets. |
Error: No Pixel found Error: Unsupported get request. Object with ID 'act_######' does not exist, cannot be loaded due to missing permissions, or does not support this operation. | Advertiser for the campaign is not synced. Double check the Meta Ad Account ID used in Step 2 above. Also check if Ad Bench user has access to the Ad Account in Meta Ads Manager (Step 1 above). |
Ads are stuck in 'In Progress' state for more than 5 mins | Contact your Platform Representative as there might be an issue with the Execution queue for this campaign. |
