Mapping Campaign Data (1)
After ad account credentials have been connected and the data is pulled into the platform, campaigns can be mapped. Mapping source campaigns from ad platforms helps organise them into overarching campaigns which can be used to group specific seasonal campaigns, products or services. Each overarching campaign should contain all the ad platforms that the campaign is running on.
Campaign data can be mapped by navigating to the ‘Data Streams’ menu item in the platform sidebar and clicking on the ‘Data Mapping’ tab.
The Data Mapping page displays a list of Data Sources with Ad Accounts & Source Campaigns nested under them.

Mapping Campaign Data (2)
To map a campaign, select the Bench Advertiser, Bench Campaign, Layer, Channel & Source.
Advertiser: One Bench Advertiser can be chosen for the entire data source / ad account combination using the default ‘Bulk Assignment.’ Individual advertisers can be chosen for each source campaign utilising ‘Manual Assignment' by clicking the downward facing arrow. Choose the method that makes the most sense for your advertiser. A new advertiser can also be created from the screen by typing a new name and clicking enter.
Campaign: Select from a Bench campaign that was previously created or create a new campaign within the mapping screen by entering a new name.
Layer: Choose from 5 different layers - Awareness, Engagement, Leads, Direct Response & Acquisition. The layers should be chosen according to the objectives of the source campaign.
For example an Awareness campaign may be optimising towards impressions, Engagement towards site visitors, Leads & Direct Response towards gathering customer contact information and Acquisition towards a purchase.
Channel: Select the media channel of your source campaign. Only the channels supported by the data source will show.
Source & Platform: Next choose the inventory source and the platform will auto populate depending on the data source.
Click the filters drop down at the top of the screen to narrow the amount of source campaigns displayed. This can particularly help when ad accounts have just been connected and there are a high volume of unmapped source campaigns.
Once all the mappings have been reviewed, click the “Confirm Mapping” button. The source campaigns will be mapped in the background and the data will be available to view the next day in Analytics & Custom Reporting.

Unmapping Campaigns
Source campaigns can be unmapped and remapped to new allocations.
First, filter the page to only display 'Mapped Campaigns'. In this view, any campaigns which have been previously mapped can be viewed but not edited.
The date lookback window can be adjusted to view mapped campaigns from different pre-defined date ranges or from all time.
Click the 3 dot overflow menu at the end of each row to display the 'Unmap' option. Once clicked & confirmed, the source campaign will be unmapped and ready to remap once the page is unfiltered by 'Mapped Campaigns'.
