Segmenting your Audiences

Bench Connect provides a centralised location to easily manage your audience segments for your campaign. Audiences in Bench Connect are used primarily to group your segments for cross-platform reporting and optimisation.

To get started, first navigate to the ‘Audience’ tab within your campaign.

Click on ‘Create’, you will see two options.

  • Create New Audience - This option is for creating one audience at a time.

  • Bulk Upload - A way to create audiences in bulk by uploading audience information in a file.

How to create one audience at a time

  • Click ‘Create > Create New Audience'.

  • In the form, fill in the following required fields

    a. Audience Name - Enter an audience name that clearly identifies the audience segment. This name will be viewable in all reports and dashboards and cannot be changed at a later date.

    b. Audience Type - Whether the segment is of new audiences (prospecting) or returning audiences (retargeting).

    c. Layers - Which layers this audience segment will be activated.

    d. Gender - Gender of the target audience.

  • Click ‘Create’ to create your audience.

Your audience is now created and accessible from the audience tab with your campaign.


How to create audiences in bulk

  1. Click ‘Create > Bulk Upload'.

  2. In the popup, click on ‘Download Template’.
